To the editor:

Re "Four Killed in Jerusalem," Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is responsible for the November 18 murders of American citizens Rabbi Aryeh Kolinsky, Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Goldberg and Rabbi Calman Levine, just as he is responsible for the recent murder three-year-old American citizen Chaya Zissel Braun on October 23. His incitement of Arab terrorists, including calling them to use all means to keep Jews from "desecrating" the Temple Mount by setting foot on the holiest site in Judaism, had the same effect as an arsonist pouring gasoline and throwing a lighted match. Abbas is as responsible as if he pulled the trigger himself.

If justice was to be served, Abbas would be put on trial for the murder of these four innocent Americans. While that is unlikely, should end its support, financial and diplomatic, for the Palestinian Authority until it implements the most important first step in the failed "Road Map For Peace" put forth by the United States in 2002 and ends its incitement of terrorism and glorification of terrorists.

Abbas' incitement isn't just leading to the murders of Israelis; it's responsible for the murder of Americans, too. Our government has the responsibility to protect our citizens. By ignoring Abbas' incitement to murder, our government has been derelict in its responsibility.

Sincerely,

Alan Stein

The Comedian: United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Speaking to a reporter at the United Nations headquarters, Ban Ki-moon, apparently with a straight face, said: "I don't think there is discrimination against Israel at the United Nations."
