To the editor:

I found the advice Daniel Nisman and Ron Gilran give Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in their op-ed "Israel's Hard Choice on Hamas" very interesting.

Essentially, they are telling him he should try to do ... exactly what he's been trying to do. Indeed, his negotiating position in the failed cease-fire talks was almost exactly what Nisman and Gilran advised.

Unfortunately, Hamas won't cooperate. (Abbas won't either, but he's almost irrelevant.)

Back to square one.
