To the editor:

Daniel Sieradski (Andrew Cuomo's Anti-Free Speech Move on B.D.S.) is demonstrably incorrect in referring to B.D.S. as "a strategy intended to combat" what he incorrectly calls "Israel's nearly 50-year occupation." The most prominent co-founder of B.D.S., Omar Barghouti, quite clearly said "definitely, most definitely we oppose a Jewish state in any part of Palestine."

One can debate technical details of Governor Cuomo's executive order, but I find irony and hypocrisy in the stance of those arguing the New York State government should not boycott the inherently anti-Semitic boycott of the world's only Jewish state.

Sincerely,

Alan Stein
