    Bantam Cinema
    One of my favorite movie theaters, in an old barn in Bantam, Connecticut. Often shows movies that never get shown in the multi-screen complexes.

  • EventsCentral - Fun of every kind is entered here, with happenings ranging from concerts to theater to fund-raisers. Users can search out just the type of activity they like or look at everything for a particular place or time.
  • TVCentral - The complete listings for all Connecticut's cable systems with grids, best bets and news. Users can personalize the service to select their favorite channels, types of programming and shows. The listing is updated daily, so you'll never miss your favorite TV programs.
  • Town Talk - Enter live chat or bulletin-board discussion areas to debate, share ideas or just get to know others who have an interest in Connecticut.
  • CentralWeather - You won't be surprised by the next storm if you keep an eye on CTCentral's weather service. The service offers seven-day forecasts, satellite and radar maps and current weather conditions at home and around the world. Radar maps update as often as hourly to keep track of advancing storms.
  • Ultimately, CTcentral is supposed to include the Journal Register Company's other Connecticut daily newspapers.
    GWCC Greater Waterbury Classic Concerts
    GWCC is a new, non-profit organization bringing beautiful chamber music to the Greater Waterbury area.
    Zoya Kalmanovsky, concert pianist and music teacher, formed Greater Waterbury Classic Concerts, Inc. with internationally known concert performer and Waterbury Symphony principal cellist, Thirzah Bendokas. The organization will produce a series of chamber music concerts featuring award winning, internationally known musicians as well as favorite performers from the local area.

    Jewish Resources in Connecticut

    Chavurat Achim
    Chavurat Achim is my newest baby. A group of friends concerned about the availability of egalitarian Jewish services in Waterbury decided in 5762 to start a small chavurah. We hope to have intimate services held about one Shabbat a month in our homes and provide minyanim, when needed in Waterbury, after Beth El moves out of town.
    Beth El Synagogue
    Beth El is the Conservative synagogue in Waterbury. I used to be belong to it; in fact, I used to be vice president, bulletin editor and a number of other things. It is planning to move to Southbury.
    B'nai Shalom Synagogue
    B'nai Shalom is the Orthodox synagogue in Waterbury, located on Roseland Avenue just a few blocks from where Beth El used to be.
    Congregation B'nai Israel
    B'nai Israel is a Reform congregation located in the western suburb of Southbury formed through the recent merger of Temple Israel and B'nai Chaim.
    The Jewish Federation of Greater Waterbury
    This is my home Federation. I've been heavily involved in it for many years in many capacities, including president.
