To the editor:

I find it astounding that The New York Times devoted an immense amount of resources and space to produce an article about the life and death of Rouzan al-Najjar, effectively canonizing her, yet failed to mention the video of her throwing what appeared to be a tear gas canister, or telling an interviewer "I am here on the front line and I act as a human shield," protecting Hamas terrorists during the violent Gaza riots.

This obviously was known to The New York Times, since it appeared both in the newspaper and its Twitter feed.

Clearly, al-Najjar wasn't the innocent saint portrayed in The New York Times testament.

Sincerely,

Alan Stein
