To the editor:

I found the article "The Palestinian Plan to Stop Annexation: Remind Israel What Occupation Means" heavily biased, particularly with its incorrect use of the terms annexation and occupation, but it did serve the purpose of making it clear Palestinian Arab leaders know they're lying when they talk about "Israeli occupation."

Hussein al-Sheikh, one of Mahmoud Abbas' closest advisors, may have not intended to do so, but his reference to Israel going "back to being the occupying power" makes clear he knows Israel is not an occupying power and Palestinian Arab leaders are knowingly lying when they refer to Israeli occupation.

Of course, that Palestinian Arab leaders routinely blatantly and deliberately lie should be no surprise to any intelligent being.

Sincerely,

Alan Stein
