To the editor:

The article about Wednesday's "successful" Palestinian attack in Tel Aviv was technically correct in saying "two American visitors have been killed" in the "wave of Palestinian assaults [which] began last October." However, the article was also misleading, creating the false impression that Palestinian "militants" have only murdered two Americans.

Palestinian Arabs have murdered at least five Americans, Eitan Henkin, Richard Lakin, Ezra Schwartz, Tuva Weissman and Taylor Force, during this current terror spree.

I thought we had progressed since our Constitution only counted slaves for three-fifths of other people, but apparently, at least for The New York Times, an American murdered by a Palestinian Arab terrorist only counts for two-fifths of a person.

Sincerely,

Alan Stein

The Comedian: United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Speaking to a reporter at the United Nations headquarters, Ban Ki-moon, apparently with a straight face, said: "I don't think there is discrimination against Israel at the United Nations."
