The article "Palestinians Rejected Tax Money to Slap Israel. It’s Not Israel That’s Hurting" refers to Mahmoud Abbas' "longstanding demand that Arab countries normalize ties with Israel only after the establishment of a Palestinian state."

On the other hand, he's gotten the United Nations General Assembly and many international organizations to recognize the "State of Palestine" and even addresses sessions of the United Nations as the president of the State of Palestine.

Can one blame the leaders of the UAE, Bahrain and, hopefully, many other Arab states if they believe him when he says a Palestinian state does exist and thus infer that it's fine to establish relations with the Middle East's only true democracy?

Sincerely,

Alan Stein

The Comedian: United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Speaking to a reporter at the United Nations headquarters, Ban Ki-moon, apparently with a straight face, said: "I don't think there is discrimination against Israel at the United Nations."
